My First Real Convert! I'm so excited.

Just have to share this because it is so cool! I have been passing around copies of the BDM - Serenity - to folks at my martial arts class and others. I was having lunch with them today and one couple told me they bought the Firefly series at Best Buy over the holidays! I had to control my excitement so as not to sound like a blithering idiot. I told them they would really enjoy it as the characters are more developed due to having more time with them.

So it works to spread the word, share the love and loan and/or give away copies to the uninitiated.

I *accidently* sent my sister two copies of Firefly for Christmas last year.

When she told me the mistake, I said something like just keep it for a loaner copy. And Whoo-hoo! she just told me today that she has loaned it out again!

I managed to convert an entire family in under two days. I made friends with one of the guys and the subject of film obviously came up and I mentioned the 'Verse as being a favourite and he'd seen the film but not the series so I lent it to him ... and everyone watched it; all the guys love Kaylee and the women have fallen for Mal.

Awesome job, Siri. Keep it up.

I've converted many people since the Firefly DvD came out a few years ago. I lost track of how many of those series sets I have bought...lol. But I tell ya what, all of the people I have given them to have come back and said they really enjoyed them and have gone on to buy Serenity and spread the word themselves. Some of the people I have given Firefly to have sat around NOT watching them, but once they got around to it they were annoyed with themselves for not watching it sooner.
