Turn loose of the rights over Firefly? For them to want to keep it and yet do nothing with it just makes them seem snobby.

Actually, it's probably because it's making them a ton of money and all they're doing is nothing. I mean, all the DVD sets that get sold put some more money in the Fox pockets, and their production cost is about zero: they're not cranking out new episodes, you know. But if they gave up the rights, wouldn't that mean the new buyer would be able to sell the DVDs? Is that how it works? I'd be interested to hear from someone in the industry...

Yup. As much as I appreciate the Firefly MMO, it is funded by FOX and FOX is "milking every penny out of something they know should be back on the air and they know it"
