Now the Firefly movie is being made by Universal. Steven Spielberg has made a lot of films with Universal and made a heck of a lot of money for them, meaning they must be quite good friends. Spielberg likes Angel (or did

) and cast Julia Benz in Taken because of her performance in Angel. Angel was (god its sad to refer to it in the past tense) created by Joss Whedon who also created Fiefly. Now maybe Spielberg could help in some way in getting the Firefly Movie made.
