Back in June, my wife and I bumped into Nathan while traveling with our newborn daughter. The whole story was read on Firefly Talk #35, so I won't bore you by repeating it here.

Anyway, in my e-mail I also mentioned how we didn't get Nathan's autograph while we had the chance. No problem, I thought I'd be able to find some sort of information online and I promised myself that I'd try to contact him before she started walking, and while there was a chance that he might remember.

Back in early September, I tried writing him through the agency I found online, but haven't heard anything. I know it's only been three months, but Geneva is threatening to stand unsupported and I haven't been able to come up with any other ideas. And although we had a great time with family, a Thanksgiving repeat of our June trip did not result in a repeat meeting.

So now I find myself appealing to the Browncoats for help:

Can anybody point me in the right direction? Or if you actually know Nathan, relay this to him? Or you know someone who knows someone who knows...well, you get the picture. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just a quick note jotted down on whatever paper is nearby. Something like "Geneva, be sure to always listen to your dad!" would be perfect. Hey, a dad can dream…

But seriously, any help would be appreciated.

Nathan said at one point that he didn't really want autograph requests coming to him through myspace. It's a thought, but might not yield anything. Just to warn you. Flanvention would be a safer bet, I think... Wish I was going...

Thanks you guys.

I was about to create a MySpace profile and give that a shot, but that looks like it might be a last resort.

Unfortunately, I'm an East Coaster, so Flanvention isn't possible, even if it weren't sold out. And I don't know anyone who's going.

Is anyone lucky enough to be attending and willing to try and help me out? I'm not sure what convention protocol for autographs is (can you get multiples?), but any help would be appreciated.
