Hello browncoats,

I've been here just thinking of some of the things that make FF so special. A lot of it are the little things. I'm talking about the actor's talents here.

Take the eps Jaynestown where Inara finds out that the "Hero" Fess Higgins is talking about is Jayne, not Mal, "Wha...wha..wha..Jayne? You're talking about Jayne Cobb?" That little stutter adds so much to the scene.Morean does this kinda stuff all through the series and it really sells the character. She is a very talented actress and from what I've seen post FF her abilities aren't being use by other tv shows.

Then in the BDM where Jayne leans against the door where River is being confined. You can see by his expression that he's come to a conclusion. " Ok little crazy person. Time to go for a nice shuttle ride." The acting of this show is so top notch how can someone not be drawn into it?

These are just a couple of FF moments (there are many more) that have me really enjoying the verse that's been created. Gorramit there needs to be more FF.

Anyone else have special FF or BDM moments they'd like to share?

Z

War Stories.

The pain looks too real.

Also when Wash says something like Wait Mal like we can't leave without Mal and Mal nods his head just a little to tell Zoe and Wash to leave him hoping Niska won't see it...but he does.

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Almost any River moment. Especially in 'Safe', her whole speech about finding her broken makes me cry every time...

BORNTOFLY

I just have to mention Nathans performance in 'Out Of Gas', as he wanders the dead, drifting ship. He doesn't speak, but we can tell by his body language and facial expression just how hopeless and helpless the situation Mal's found himself in is. It hurts to watch.

Gotta agree with PR, Summer really tuns it on as River. 'Safe' is a particularly awesome episode for her but to me, 'Objects In Space' is really the 'River and Jubal Show'. Her voice over the intercom..lets just say when I had a Firefly marathon a few weeks ago to initiate a few friends (on a screen that went wall to wall, ceiling to floor!)...they actually truly beleived she'd phsicically posessed the ship!

But yes, the acting on the show is highly underrated and underappreciated, which is a true chame, as it's some of the best to grace a television in recent years (if not ever). Special mention too I feel must go to the guest actors. My friend is obsessed with Christina Hendricks (YoSaffBridge) now.
