an idea to revive firefly

Well, I just discovered serenity and I immediately bought the whole firefly series. This is unlike anything I've seen before. I was immediately addicted. The first thing I did after seeing the movie was checking if there was a sequel. And so I discovered the sad story on wikipedia about firefly. But I was happy to read that serenity was profitable thanks to the strong dvd sales.
So I still think it was all a problem of bad marketing that got firefly down.

So I was thinking and I came up with a wild, almost undoable idea but I thought, I'll post it anyway maybe it inspires someone to think of something more workable and that way we can make the great universe revive.

So now comes to idea:
I thought of contacting fox and the universal because they have the rights on the series and the movie. And to ask them if they were willing to broadcast the movie and the series (the already existing ones) if we, the fans, are able to create an impressive marketing campaign around it. And to ask them for a little bit of cooperation with that marketing campaign.
It had to be original and unexpensive.

So I thought of composing browncoat and alliance teams and the idea was to paint (with an easily removable paint/spray...) browncoat sentences over fox posters boxes and things like that while they are being chased by alliance patrols who are removing the things they've done. While attracting an enormous amount of attention and making movies to put on youtube.
And to do this on a scale that would get it on tv. I'm from belgium and it's quite easy to get attention here, so don't know how hard it is in america.

If this succeeds, I would do a, remember remember the 5 of november alike thing. And on that day, do a fake hostage operation of a couple fox members. Offcours with cooperation of these fox company workers and then let them be freed by alliance members. And hoping that will attract a lot of media attention.

In my imagination this all looks nice, but I know it's almost undoable in reality. But I still believe getting media attention to the firefly/serenity cause is the only way to pressure the companies and to convince Josh Whedon to do something more with his universe. And I also know he doesn't want to cooperate with fox anymore but I think that that's gonna change if fox is really interested and he can choose his own conditions. After all, he himself also loves firefly.

don't know if it will get moved to marketing but I like the idea, I don't think it would work as Fox would not agree.

However go with it and if you get anywhere let me know and I will be there!
