I know catholics see the virgin mary in pop tarts. And well I've been watching my very brand new dvd box set and well I am having visions. Firefly sayings and scenes seem to be all over this series. Have I drank to much Josh Whedon koolaid or do I need to take a leave of absence from work. I am just glad I no longer see circus clowns in the corner of my bedroom.

I don't give half a hump that your innocent. So what does that make you.

Briscoe County Jr. was 1993-1994. It was a western with science fiction overtones, so there will naturally be similarities that can be drawn. Firefly was 2002. So maybe it's Firefly that has Briscoe County sayings and scenes.

You want some more similarities? Watch Cowboy Bebop (1998). I show that to my Firefly converts and they're floored. Beautiful show.

You don't have to be so hateful. Me, my wife, my sister, and my cousin both of us agree that maybe that's how they spell Josh in Canada but here in Merica we don't. Just cause were from West by God Virginia we are not ignant. I am in management for a trailor auction company. We also do not like that show Cheers. Put that in your pipe.

I wasn't being hateful!
I am neither from nor in Canada.
Joss Whedon spells and pronounces his name "Joss," not "Josh." It's a common mistake, and my response was meant to help clarify, not invoke anger.
And "Cheers" wasn't a reference to that show (I didn't care for it much, either), it's ... oh ... nevermind.
