Hello Firefly Fans and Friends,
Thanks for the welcome! This is my first venture into this arena. I joined up a few days ago but not sure how to get started. I could just follow the threads and check things out. However, I'd mightilly appreciate it if someone would be willing to give me a few tips as to what goes on here. I'm kind of new to chat rooms and the like. Just never took the time before to explore them.

I'm rewatching the Firefly series and ordered the movie as I so fell in love with the show and missed it when it was on TV. Would love to see it come back. I rented the movie Serenity a few months ago and then bought the Firefly DVD.

Looking forward to being part of the "Get Firefly back and flying" crowd!

G'day Siri, welcome to the site.

My advice would be that rather than having someone show you which threads to read, and which not to read, your best course of action is to just throw yourself into it. Read through a lot of what gets posted (although avoiding the Real World Events section is advised) and join in the posting by replying to anything that you feel is worth replying to.

That said, there are some threads that are great for getting into the flow of things, such as Kehkil & Nico's Pub (of which I've been made a part owner), which is a good place to relax and get to know people. Another good thread for getting to know people is The Forsaken thread, while the Male And Female Imponderables can be relied upon to get a discussion going.

There's also a photos thread for you to show us your face, or house, or anything you wish to share with the 'verse (but just remember that this is a family-friendly site).

Last but not least, there's some role-playing threads going on. Each of these has their own quirks, but you might find one that you like, and choose to join in.

So welcome to the ever-growing ranks of the Browncoats.

If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. (Because ducks don't care about your politics, religion, skin colour, choice of music or even your haircut. They like everyone, provided you bring them food.)

Welcome .Sounds like you found the right place.It's likely FollowMal will come along with a virtual Browncoat for you soon.Until then help yourself to some strawberries or Mudder's milk if you're of age.Might I also reccomend the Kelkhil's Pub thread ? There's always someting good to drink or eat there.

My advice is to just jump right in if you see a thread you'd like to join.
People here are mighty friendly. Just be yourself & don't be shy.Soon you'll feel right at home.
