Firefly fan vid songs

I plan on making a bunch of character spacific firefly fan vids and i need a few songs. I don't want just good songs i want ones that really capture the character in question. I still need some suggestions for songs for Wash, Inara and i have one for Kaylee but i think i could do better. Any suggestions for these or if you have a better one for ones i have would be appreciated. thank you.

Being the music nut that I am, I have more than a few ideas. But here's a few of my favorites:

Building A Mystery, by Sarah McLachlan: I always thought of this as Inara's feelings about Mal.

Magic Carpet Ride, by Steppenwolf: This just feels like a Wash song to me. I've seen it done to Firefly before, but never with a focus on just Wash.

Jesus Walks, by Kanye West: This is a great song for Book, I think. I think it does a good job of describing his journey as a man of God, and how circumstances sometimes get in the way of that.

The Joker, by Steve Miller Band: For Mal, the ultimate Space Cowboy.

Hail Mary, by Tupac Shakur: This one mostly has to do with the opening line of the song. It's always just felt like Jayne to me.

Tear Away, by Drowning Pool: This one would work well for River, I think. You might also try Not Falling, by Mudvayne.

I'm having trouble thinking of songs for Zoe, Simon, and Kaylee. But if I think of anything, I'll be sure to post. Good luck on the vids.

I know you didn't ask for one for River but check out 'With my Mind' by Cold. The first verse is so perfet for her.
A thought for Wash is the song 'It's my turn to fly' from the Titan AE soundtrack, and then a song for Kaylee and Simon try 'It only hurts' by Default

This is the captain; we have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulance and then....explode
