May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Nope, not for the sequel. That is a fan made trailer using parts of Firefly & Serenity. Saw some Starship Troopers footage in there. Some western material, maybe some from Cold Mountain too.

Very well done. Definitely gives one the tingles.

It's very cleverly made - they've deliberately used sections from the deleted scenes of Serenity, and (as mentioned) from some other films, which gives it that 'new' feeling.

Hey, I made those! Thanks for the nice comments. I posted links to these back in the summer when they were first made. Unfortunately, Joss's latest comments seem to indicate that there may never be a sequel other than what we imagine in our heads. Oh well, I still have hope.

And yes, I was trying my best to find "fresh" footage, from various movies (Starship Troopers, Wyatt Earp, and Cold Mountain) along with deleted scenes to make it seem a little more real.

It's excellent and tingly, yes that describes the feeling perfectly! Thanks, Hans!

As for Joss' latest remarks indicating that there won't be a sequel....been lots of speculation about that..he didn't say there would never be a sequel, he seemed to be quite in the here and now while saying that. I think he didn't want us to get our hopes up when it's not true now. And as Browncoat1 says on another thread... there's nothing new about that. We're in the same Serenity Valley we've always been in folks, we just need to spread the word and light the world on fire with Firefly/Serenity.

What we need is for those guerilla marketing threads to just get so busy with teams thinking of ways to promote Serenity that there will be so many new folks here begging for more Serenity that Universal will once again tell Joss.. yes, please let's go out to the black again.
