Quote:I just booked the Case Film Society to screen Serenity on Sunday October 1, 2006 (sort of hair-of-Joss-Whedon relief for the wild Serenity 'Versary party the night before, right?) They're doing this for FREE!!! (I'll pay for film rental and shipping.) Plus they'll have their own volunteers, sell concessions, help sell tickets, and help promote! 580-seat auditorium (with balcony), film and DVD projection (Firefly episodes are in the works...)
Quote:I know that the Bryn Mawr Theater near Philadelphia, PA is scheduling one sometime around the 'versary
Quote:This Sunday, at 3pm, there will be a Matinee showing of the BDM at the Cinemat, 106 S Walnut Street, Bloomington, IN. $3.50 per person, with all proceeds going to Charity!
Quote:Okay, all you "Firefly" fans, we're bringing back the big screen sci-fi cult hit SERENITY (2005) for a special encore showing! Spread the word, the party is on! Admission: $5
Quote: The Dayton Metro library is having Movie Mondays in Sept and Oct. Sept 18 they are showing SERENITY!!!!! It is at 6:30 pm in the main library auditorium, downtown. You can bring snacks it says.
Quote:Serenity will be shown at the Jericho Public Library on September 27, as part of their new SF/F/H movie night on the last Wednesday of each month a 7:00 PM. I know the director of the library, and lobbied for Serenity. Now we have it; let's see how many Browncoats we can bring to the movie, and show the board of The Jericho Public Library that this is the kind of programming we want!

Quote: tdbrown wrote Sep 30 2006 Midnight Movie did pretty well......... The screening room seats 50, and we filled 36 of them. Unfortunately, six of those were friends of the Video store owner, so we broke even. But Hey... we broke even! We covered the licensing cost for the next few days, so the Cinemat people have graciously offered to do An Encore Screening! :) This Sunday, at 3pm, there will be a Matinee showing of the BDM at the Cinemat, 106 S Walnut Street, Bloomington, IN. $3.50 per person, with all proceeds going to Charity! How Shiny is that? Thanks to all who attended last night, and I hope to see most of you at either the Shindig TODAY, or the Encore on Sunday. xie-xie... :)
