Quote:The good part is that they videotaped the whole thing, so I'll try to get my hands on a copy, and maybe upload Nathan's parts onto Youtube for browncoat viewing pleasure.
Quote:Die-Nasty was actually the improv group Nathan was in before he moved to the states.

Did the show's producers tape it? Is there going to be a DVD on sale or anything? By "they" I mean the producers. Or at least I think it was the producers. Everything seemed very professional, and there was a sign at the front door talking about it being recorded. For what purpose I don't know, if there is a sale I'm not sure. All I know is that there were professional looking cameras and a crew. And yes, this did happen in Edmonton. You can understand my delight when last year I learned I shared the same hometown as the Cap'n. I'll try to keep the whole video thing up to date as information, if any, becomes available to me.

Quote:Also, check this link out! Nathan narrated a documentary on Edmonton's Fringe Theater. It will be shown in Canada on Aug. 30th on an Edmonton station and nationally on Bravo channel on September 6th. I bet this is awesome! http://www.edmontonsun.com/Entertainment/Weekend/2006/08/18/1762774-sun.html
Quote:In addition, the film airs Aug. 30 on Citytv (Cable 7) in Edmonton and nationally on Sept. 6 on Bravo! (Cable 36). Because of mature language, the 48-minute film may not be suitable for all audiences.

Wednesday, September 6th at 8pm ET/5 pm PT Narrated by Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Serenity), this special follows a group of raw, but talented actors as they compete for recognition at The Edmonton International Fringe Theatre Festival, the largest festival of its kind in North America. Receiving advice from experienced actors such as Joe Flaherty (SCTV), Josh Dean (Free Ride) and Ron Pederson (Mad TV), the documentary tracks each young actor as they write, produce, market and perform their original productions in the competitive environment of live theatre. Filmed at the August 2005 Festival, which saw over 150 shows in competition, find out if the actors' productions will win them acclaim from audiences or criticism from the media. Tune into the hilarious and heartwarming special and to see a group of young, ambitious performers pursue their dreams.
