For the Firefly box set, and what I read it just.... makes me happy and sad at the same time. It's so great to know that so many people have such an affinity towards the show. It just warms my heart.

And yet, each review reminds me of one thing: it's cancelled. one season, a movie, and a comic series. That's it. Makes me all teary and sad.

Now excuse me while I read the other 2533 reviews for the set.

I am beginning to wonder if we aren't in the realm now of "Making a steady income for doing nothing"... I am wondering if sales dropped off SHARPLY if that'd motivate the folks at the top to DO SOMETHING NEW.

I mean, I wouldn't be in any hurry to work daily if I just had to sit around and watch the money come in from past jobs... but if that money started to drop off, I might think "HMMmmm, maybe I better DO something to keep that cash coming in".

In fact, that's almost EXACTLY what I do ;)

Excellent point.

The less a corporation has to do to make money, the better they like it...it's just common sense.

You have to hit the ones making money off anything in the wallet, where it hurts the most.

The one thing that pisses me off about the reviews is that a lot of them say "Will it be coming back as a series? I hope it comes back" and it's like ARRG It's not coming back (at the moment).

Irrational I know.

The Amazon reviews always inspire me. It's just nice to see that new people are checking it out and that they care enough to post a review. Personally, I'm pretty sure Firefly is the only thing on Amazon for which I cared enough to write a review.
I just can't believe there are over 2600 for the same show. It's so great!

I know! It's simply awesome! Amazing people can see past the interesting combinatiopn of East-meets-West western sci-fis to the actual show, the actual characters, the actual story.
