serenity written in clayton, melbourne, Australia???!!!

so i work in a bottleshop, and today i had a guy come in and ask me what the tattoo on the inside of my wrist said. it's the chinese characters for serenity, and i told him so. he said "oh like the movie" i was suprised because not many people know the movie or firefly....

but here's the crazy bit. he then went on to say, "hey you know that movie was written in clayton (a suburb in melbourne, Australia) by a guy who also wrote Mr and Mrs Smith?" he was pretty adament about it and then went on to say Jessica Simpson went there to work with this guy because he writes songs to.. he also said that the movie was half written in 2000 and then they decided to make a tv series instead...

just wondering if anyone else thinks maybe i shouldn't have sold him the beer he got, as he'd probably had enough already?!!
