The Firefly DVD sales rank on Amazon is at 21. There are well over 500 reviews of the DVD with an AVERAGE rating of 5 stars. In contrast, none of the Friends seasons average 5 stars and they don't have anywhere near 500 reviews.

In unrelated news, the 3rd season of Futurama will be available in North America on March 9th, 2004.

Damn Fox and their eagerness to cancel great programming.

yeah its great to see all the good reviews on there(anyone still got one left in them) but it looks like the sales are finally slipping a bit its generally been holding around 15/16 so nows would be a great time to try and persuade more friends into buying it not that everyone hasnt been doing that already. Ive so far managed to get one of my friends to buy a box set.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Good to see we are still in the top 25 after being on the streets for 7 weeks, but that number is really only relevant to Amazon.

What I would like to see is the projected sales figures that ME & Fox had when they decided to launch the DVD set, and then the actual to date sales for the set to compare the numbers.

Chris told us that the DVDs were doing better than expected, but that is kind of vague, and his comments are now a couple of weeks old. I am really curious as to just how many copies have sold so far.

Of course, it's taking a toll on my bank account, but hey, if it gets a message to FOX, and puts a little money in the pockets of cast and crew, I consider it worthwhile. . . .
