Fanfiction Question - Feedback Appreciated

So I was just wondering if it was pc to post a fanfiction piece in more than one genre. I have written a multi-chapter fic and it's under romance, but the stories have more than that in them and I think it's awfully pigeonholing to do that.

So my question is this...if it's posted under romance already, would it be weird to post it under general fiction as well?

Any feedback would be monumentally appreciated.

I've posted something in 'romance' that, it turns out, really should be in 'adventure', but most folks go on the author name when they go looking, I think. Anyhow, if the main premise behind what you are writing is a relationship against the backdrop, then 'romance' would seem to be a good genre.
