My thinking is this: There's a lot of really shiny guerilla marketing going on w/ some success. We're recruting new folks all the time. Letter writing campaigns and polls/surveys do draw attention to the cause but there a lot of those out there for a varity of causes. How many who are in the industry are browncoats (any execs?)? I know $$$ get the most attention but perhaps people who know the business could throw out some ideas, new tricks to get the string-pullers hungry for the 'verse.

'bout 50% of the human race is middle-men, they don't take kindy to being eliminated.

Well, I'm hoping to get into the business (as a writer). I'm hoping that, once I inevitably make it big, I'll be able to point my fans toward this other fandom. . .

And yes, there will be Firefly influences in my work. At this point, there couldn't not be.

Money talks to the studios. Really, that's what its all about.

Those of us that work in the industry in some form or another have posted suggestions in other threads.
