This may seem like a stupid question, but are these things Firefly specific, or are they good for just about anything? I'd thought about starting a blog, but my life is pretty boring and I don't really have anything else to write about. Any and all opinions are welcome.

HAKEN

Likes to mess with stuffs.

The blogs aren't Firefly specific, though, you could if you wanted to create a fictitious blog for yourself. It's fun sometimes to re-imagine one's life.

My grand wish for the blog is that someone associated with the Firefly production would eventually use it to keep everyone up to date with what's going on with the Firefly production should the movie gets greenlighted.

I guess my opinion is about as valid as anyone's. I think the blog's and fics are spots where you could write about just about anything you wanted. Haken has been more than generous with letting us use this site in many ways, so I doubt he'd mind a deviation from Firefly-related topics... especially from the mind of a Browncoat. I could be wrong, as has happened every other day of my life, but today might be the exception. I myself have only written one fanfic, and it wasn't necessarily Firefly-related. It was a fanfic about a fan who writes fanfics about fans.

I have written a few blogs, and they have been Firefly-related. There are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.

Maybe Haken can stamp this into a faq or into
the blog section. Seems like this question comes up once in awhile - either as a 'policy' question, or as a question of utility...
