Greetings to all,

I've been a fan of the series since the first episode back in September of 2002 but only discover this web site just recently.

I made a quick look in the past threads but could not see anything about it (if this as been talked about before I am sorry)

Maybe what could be done is a series of 12 episodes and then to release them directly on a DvD format instead of broadcasting them on a network. You know the fans will buy the DvD box and you also by-pass the ever so annoying tv exec. who always seem to want to destroy a good, well put together series.

Does anyone thing that might be a possibility or I am just asking for too much?

theres a website called www.fireflydvd.com (i think thats the URL, it might be .net or something) thats pushing for a direct to dvd deal. I would look it up, theres a list you can add your name to if youd be willing to buy firefly that way.

Thanks you Rekka2, I will go and visit the site. I can't get enough of the episodes already produced and I want more of them

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

The direct to DVD idea was kicked around here, and at the official Fox board. Not sure if anyone from ME or Fox ever considered it, but we never heard anything from them.

Of course w/ the DVD set out now, and how well it seems to be selling, you never know. The movie rumor persists, and if it does well, coupled w/ successful DVD profits, it could result in another shot on TV, especially since Universal who is looking at the movie owns the Sci Fi channel as well. With Farscape gone, and Stargate SG1 ending this spring, Sci Fi will be in need of a new series to draw viewers; Enter Firefly.......
