Rollcall! Sound off like you've got a pair!

I'm still trying to get the Serenity Now / Equality Now ball rolling for Washington DC (one of the pre-screening cities), but there just doesn't seem to be a lot of Browncoats in the area.

I know a lot of us Browncoats went into hiding after we lost the war, afraid that the Aliance would take notice of us, but now is the time to stand up and be counted!

C'mon guys! I know you're out there, and I need help to get this done. We're running out of time here! If you want to see SN/EN become a reality for Washington DC, NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOURSELF KNOWN!

Well, if you're the same One True b!X from the Yahoo group, we've spoken before. You warned me that you'd heard mixed reviews of Regal, mainly in terms of venue pricing. That's why I'm trying for other theaters in the area.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Well, I am in Richmond, VA, about two hours from DC, if you don't hit too much traffic.

I tried to put a screening together here in Richmond, but the theatre I wanted to have it at kept giving me the run around. *sighs*

I know I could get together at least a dozen browncoats to attend a DC screening. Just say the word.

Getting the same here in DC. Luckily, I was just contacted by an employee at the Landmark Theater in MD who can call their corp office directly, and he's going to see if he can push something through at the E Street Landmark, about 2 blocks away from the Whitehouse. Maybe Jeb will attend, maybe not.

YEAHHHHH! But now I'm wondering just who was it that arranged this, and how can I contact him/her?

I posted at cantstoptheserenity to see if anyone else was already working on the DC area before spending days and days duplicating someone else's efforts, and believed that no one was organizing in this area!

Don't get me wrong - I'm glad that this is happening, but I just wasted about two weeks worth of time!

Oh well, at least the advertising I've already got started with local radio stations might not be a duplication of efforts (maybe).

I think Browncoat is short for a fan of the TV Show Firefly/Movie Serenity. Also Flan is another word for Firefly Fan: Nathan (Our Captain) Fillion came up with that word accidentally.

I live in Ellicott City, about twenty-thirty minutes from Baltimore and maybe 45ish from DC by car. I'll be in Boston visiting family June 23rd but I wanted to drop a line showing my support! If anybody wants to organise a shindig over the summer, I'm all for it! I hadn't even heard of any other Browncoats near me until now.

BTW- I'm not sure if they do charity screenings like this, but has anybody heard of The Senator theatre in Baltimore?
