I would neer tell anyone to go out and plunk down $500-$800 for a first generation HD DVD player because I'm in the buisness and know how much better and cheaper they will be as early as Christmas. But I have to say, go out, if you already haven't, and buy the HD DVD. It is the most incredible picture ever. Better than Sattllite HD and better than the theatre. The ability to see detail in dark scenes is beyond belief. I just hope that we will be able to get an HD DVD version of "Firefly" as well. Just incredible.

I don't own an HD-DVD player, don't know anyone who does, and I'll probably wait to buy one 'till the price is in the $200 range. But I'm planning on buying an HD-DVD copy of Serenity June 23rd.
