Im lookin' for some info on the BrownCoats vs Alliance war (Don't know the real name) But i wanted to know some other places war accoured other than Serenity Valley to construct a Fan-Character.

It was called the War for Unification. I'm pretty sure there was fighting on all or most of the outer planets. There's quite a bit of info I can't remember off the top of my head in the visual companion to the movie. Joss wrote a lot of history for the introduction. There is also a battle mentioned in the comics.

You might try looking at the Serenity RPG. I know they carry it at Barnes & Noble sometimes. The book really fills in a lot of the minor details you might not have heard in the show. Not to mention it has shiny, shiny pictures of our BDH's in it.

I haven't ordered it yet, but I did get to look at another Browncoat's RPG book in fair detail and there's lots of info in there.

I've heard some other fanfic writers say that it's useful for timeline stuff and information re: characters and such.

It's lovely as well, with absolutely great pics in it. Well worth owning, which I will be doing soon.

I'll bet it'll help.
