I got the DVD's for Christmas too, and just finished watching the episodes today. I cannot believe that this show was cancelled, or rather I can, because it's way too good for a crummy network like Fox. My favorite characters are Kaylee and Mal, but I love them all. Hearts of Gold was the saddest of the eps, for me. When Nandi died and that whole thing between Mal and Inara happened, just made me cry. I do hope that the movie happens soon and that that brings a few more fans.

So glad to have found an enclave of like-minded people with whom to discuss this marvelous show.

I did the same thing - got mine for christmas, watched them all - still working through watching all the ones with commentary (watched them without, first, to enjoy them).

Got us another convert, too - just sent him out to get the DVD's for him and his woman - can't wait to hear what they thought of them!

That is how I feel every single time I come here. I feel like I belong.

I don't have any converts. Yet.

Heart of Gold is very sad, but I think the saddest for me is the end of The Message. My favorite character, if I was forced to chose, I suppose would be Simon. Simon because he gave up a life many people would dream of to save his sister. But I love all the characters, each in my own little way.

Keep flyin'!

Just thought of something. All the people here are like the crew of Serenity. We are a tight-knit group, that wouldn't leave another one behind. We do on occasion hurt each other, but it happens. Well, that's just a little thought.

Keep flyin'!

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Glad to hear you liked the show ShinySphinx. I got the DVD set just after it came out and gave out four copies as Xmas gifts to friends. I have converted all four to Firefly fans.

I have been through the entire DVD set including commentaries, and am having a viewing party at my house this weekend to introduce the show to a couple of my friends coming in from out of town. Hopefully we can show them what a great show we have in Firefly.
