Well, since you asked,
I thought they truly, thouroughly, sucked.
I was very disappointed. There are too many
instances in them where the BDHs just don't
act like themselves. They do things they
never would really do in the series.
Joss didn't write them -he had a co-writer.
And it shows. Sorry but you did ask.
I do like the cover art though! Going to frame
mine, but I won't be reading them again.

Yeah . . .not that great, even though the story had a lot of potential. I would've loved to see it in TV-format.

That said, we're Browncoats. And the cover art kicks. Maybe the new rumored comics will be better?

They are Joss' vision of bridging the gap between Firefly and Serenity, explaining the differences between the end of the TV show and the movie...

I think they are great, and I can't wait for the new series of comics!

Thanks for the input everyone, the artwork really is great, I couldn't decide exactly which ones I liked best, which is why I ordered all 9 of them. Looking forward to reading them even though you didn't all love them.

But that's shiny, got all the existing ones on my shelf already, with room to spare.

I ordered the trade paperback a few days ago, and I'm thinking about getting the nine covers, but I'm gonna have to check with my comic book store underling.

I think you'll like them. Maybe not LOVE them, but we'll see. The three together seem like about half an episode in length, and the characters don't come across as quite the same, but it IS "fresh" Firefly. I bought 12 copies - one of each of the nine covers to save, and one of each release to read.
