Summer Glau is starring in a new show on the Sci-Fi channel called Mammoth. It looks pretty good, and funny, so I am suggesting that we give her our support by watching her new show. I think she will act in that as well as she did in Firefly and the BDM. (It will be strange to see her acting normally though!) I know I'm watching it for sure, its on Saturday April 22.

I could stand Summer on a more than weekly basis, myself. Even if there's mammoths involved.
Summer should play Alice on the upcoming "American McGee's Alice"-movie. Anyone who played the game knows that she'd be PERFECT for the part, and it would be her big break. But nooooo, they're going with ruttin' Sarah Michelle Gellar. ****ing idiots. That was Summer's ****ing part, for ****s sake! They're ruining my master plan!
Seriously, this pisses me off. SMG as Alice? **** that!
I'm sure that every one of you - even the Buffy-ists - are gonna say that Summer would have done a much better job - and I can say that before even having watched one scene. It's just so ruttin obvious.

Here's a foul thought,

We're not going to see much of Summer in "the movies".
She's a Good Girl(tm) from Texas, not a vapid
Hollywood Bimbette. She's not gonna hump a director for a part. She dresses like she's living
in the 80's (which I think is awesome), she's an
actual Artist, she can act rings around Gellar and
Portman for that matter. She just doesn't fit the
Hollywood bullshit mold. She's real.

I know Mammoth was originally slated for
the big screen -at least IMDB said so initially.
Maybe that was an error on their part...

I am so sick of this empty culture we have here
in the US where it's become cool to be stupid, (Hilton et al.)
where spending money on garbage is a pass-time, (Wal-Mart)
where The Arts are marginalized. When did trailer trash become something to aspire to?
It's truly scary how goddamned dumb people are in
the US. What to do, what to do?

Not saying Mammoth is high art, just saying Summer
is not going to get a fair break in Hollywood.
And it pisses me off.

Saw a ad on SCI FI today that showed Summer
in it and mentioned "Serenity's Summer Glau".

It's the first one I have seen mentioning
her.
