Such a shame

I just finished watching the last DVD last night of the series... I got them on Netflix since I had a friend who said Serenity was a great movie and all. I'm getting Serenity next in my line up... so I'm anxious to see what happens in the movie.

But beyond that, I must truly say that Fox screwed this one up. This was a great show and had a lot of great character development and good storyline... It was immersive and involving... I found myself treating the DVD series as a good book that you can't put down. I'd get a DVD and watch all 4 episodes on the DVD *that night*.

When Firefly came out... I think it wasn't advertised well or something... because when it came out, I remember thinking 'ho-hum' about it... so promotionally speaking, I think Fox or SOMEONE dropped the ball on this. It definitely wasn't the show's fault.

Firefly would be a welcome event on my TV... Especially with what is on TV lately (and FOX for that matter...

)

I think Sci-Fi should pick it up... it would fit real nice with some of Sci-Fi's stuff. I think they picked up the first season... but I'm referring to resurrecting it like they did SG-1.

So, if there's some petition or something for me to sign that says I'd like to see the show come back, let me know where. I'm not typically a fan-boi or anything... so I don't know how much I'll check this site... but I do know that Firefly was a good series and shouldn't have gone like it did.

Check the immediate assistance board, couple petitions there.
I don't know if sci-fi can fund this show; I'm sure it was pitched to them when they were trying to get it revived. But maybe that will change. That would be shiny.

No worries, I don't go thru the sites looking for storyline details and such... I hit just what I'm interested in... Firefly, Return to TV, Resurrect, etc...

But I appreciate the warning, and I've signed the petitions... *shrug* not much else I can do now.

And I'll probably come back here after I see Serenity.
