Llamas!

I'm watching a documentary about Yellowstone National Park.

It seems they use llamas as pack animals for some of their back country expeditions.

Maybe they're the ancestors of the Serenity DVD cover llamas...

I knew there had to be some reason for those llamas. Guess this one's as good as any.

It's sort of a joke.

When the cover art was first released, a lot of people (myself included) disliked it (still do). Some thought they saw llamas in the background, and wondered what the heck llamas were doing in the 'verse.

Llamas became a bit of a running joke for awhile. So when I saw the llamas in Yellowstone, it was a Firefly moment.
