This morning, my 4 year old daughter started to sing the first verse from The Ballad Of Serenity.

My pride and joy knows no bounds!

As someone once said in another vaguely heard of Sci-Fi show "Today is a good day to die",...although not for my family obviously.

Well, that's another generation to heap her hate at Fox!

My two and a half year old nephew occasionally sits with me afer work, (mine, not his), watching TV, playing with trucks and the like. A couple nights ago I watched "Shindig" and he joyfully did the same. Like me he loves music, good stories, things that go boom, freedom, and dynamic interesting women. All the fine points of any browncoat. "Sniff", tears of pride.

I know the feeling. For Valentine's Day my two-year-old daughter got me some plastic dinosaurs. I asked my wife why she picked that and she said that my daughter was adamant that I should have some to play with like the man on TV. God bless Hoban Washburn! And God bless little girls!

Yep! I like shiny, especially shiny DVDs, as opposed to them as is covered in very small marmite flavoured finger prints!

The only downside to educating my daughter in good Watching!

Yeah, my kids are starting to show symptoms of Mommy's Firefly virus.

I sit in the car waiting for the bus to drop my son off from school and listen to the radio while I read. My son jumps in the car and cries, "All right! Firefly again!" He's five and knows the music already. What a good junior Browncoat!

Best of all...

My one year old sits and sings the Firefly theme. Granted, it sounds like, "Aahhh...ooooh...ah ah ah deedee..." But she sings along! It's so adorable I was crying the first time I heard it. My baby Browncoat.

I love my kids.

My 'lil chip just wants to be like Daddy - bless her.

Although I had to do some explaining to her teachers when she did that Michael Caine line from The Italian Job - "You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off".

Still, she did a passable imitation!

Hah! More evidence of Browncoat- The Next Generation!

Last night my daughter pointed to a pedestrian wearing a brown duster and said he had a coat like daddy's. She suggested that the guy liked Firefly too!

Gotta love it.

My six year old (daughter) sings the Ballad of Serenity all the time, (she calls it "the Firefly song" then shouts Woo-Hoo!) As of late she's been making very demonstrative queries about why there aren't any more episodes for her to watch.

A moment of cuteness: Last night (3/28) as was posted in another thread, Jewel was in a movie on Lifetime. My daughter got one look at her on screen then wanted to know why "Kaylee isn't wearing her jumpsuit", and also why "Book, The Captain, The Doctor, and 'Zoe's husband'" weren't with her...

We tend to sing songs when we are traveling in the car (granted, we don't sing well, but...) and the Ballad of Serenity and Jaynestown have made it onto our "must sing" list.

Heck - even Jayne would weep tears of joy!

We know he's a softie at heart - his mother's knitted hat is proof of that!
