Is anyone going to the Grand Slam event in Pasadena next weekend? It is featuring a breakfast withthe stars of Firefly.

The Grand Slam is a Creations event.

Creations has been the same crappy show since the first time I saw them way back in 1986. First of four times ... I was a slow learner.

Same empty show, same empty events. Same boring "host" telling the same boring stories.

This huge conglomerate came into being and signed all of our favorite folks to exclusive contracts to appear only at Creations events.

Have you noticed that over the past 20 years, fan-based conventions have become fewer and much further between. Have you noticed that you no longer see 'the stars' at fan-based conventions. Instead you get "the guy that operated the transporter in the episode where the red shirt guy jumped out of a tree".

I saw that some of the BDH's were appearing there and knew that fan-based conventions would now be unable to sign those folks to appear. I got confirmation this weekend at a convention I attended.

They contacted Nathan's agent about next year's convention and received back a form letter re. Creations.

I will not support Creations in any way. Creations sucks. The only way to deal with this plague will be to boycott their events. Make the whole lot dry up and blow away in the wind.

Help fan conventions survive. Boycott Creations Entertainment.
