I may have to downgrade myself from "obsessed" for not noticing this before (or searching out the threads that have already covered this) but there is a tiny thingummybob that just works stunningly well. (I may be easily pleased by small shiny objects, but hey.)

As River watches the dancers, there's just a thin pennywhistle and violin top line melody while she's learning the steps.

Then the bass line comes in when she gets it, the Big Damn Smile dawns, and as she steps off, that scene just flies.

I'd call it another minor miracle.

Just trying to lighten the mood some, without coming across as Neil from "The Young Ones".

That scene is as good a mood-enhancer as you could find in a days walk.

Yeah, I always find that to be a really touching scene.

That is a brilliant scene, especially with the cross-cutting to the gunfight. And the music just rocks.

You can, but nobody will know what you're ruttin' talking about.

The music is there to highlight what you see in River's face.
