I recently rewatched these movies and found myself compairing the heros to our BDH's. Previously, I had thought of Mal as a stand alone variation of Han Solo or maybe Eastwood's man-with-no-name but he struck me as surprisingly similar to Redford in the movie Jeremiah Johnson (not the same as the historical liver-eatin'-Johnson): his implied unpleasant military past, his desire to be free and apart from the establishment, his soft-side (despite hard exterior), fumbling his way along but doing what's right and not giving up. The style of speaking fit too (great job by the BDS and BDM writers).

Just wondering if other folk found themselves compairing/contrasting other movie characters to the BDH's (i.e. Jayne as a softer and gentler Tuco)...

I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.
