Just bought a Serenity t-shirt at Hot Topic, and thought it was worth mentioning, in case anyone wanted one but wasn't about to order it online. It's just the Serenity logo, on black.

The fact that it's being released now, and not when the movie was in theaters, or even when it was first on DVD, is significant.

yeah there another topic here about the shirts and the stock # for hot topic. I believe there were 3 in total.. I got the exact same shirt last week and im wearing now. I got the XXL its long but not that big.. nice quality though

Yup, got my Serenity Logo Tee last week at a local H-T store (Highland Mall, Austin TX). They were out of the XXL, but I can fit into an XL if it's for the right cause. :)

They weren't carrying any of the other Serenity tees at that particular store (there's also a Browncoats shirt in brown - go figure - and a "My Turn" black shirt featuring our own badass, River Tam), but I'll keep checking back in hopes that they will bring out more Serenity tees.

BROWNCOATBILLY

There's another one that says *BROWNCOAT* on the front and "I aim to misbehave." on the back. I know this cause... um... I'm wearing it right now. I've seen several of the fandom inspired tee shirts, that's cool. But this one is liscensed, meaning that money goes to Universal.

My thought is, the more money we can get to them the better the odds at getting a BDM2. This won't stop me from ordering and wearing a fandom shirt with pride, but given the choice... I'll take a second movie.

If it is like the store in my area, the Serenity Logo shirt shows up first and then if they sell well enough, the others show up.

Hot Topic employees can look up these numbers on their computers and see if any of thier Region stores have these shirts. They can transfer the shirts to your store.

I think the -004 means XL. So maybe -001 means Small etc.

We are hoping if they sell well enough, they will make other versions too. Maybe even Serenity perfume...or Zoe perfume...Kaylee...River...Anara perfume...Keychains...stickers...buttons. Like Hot Topic mall stores have for the Princess Bride Special edition.

Just checked on the two Hot Topic stores that had never heard of Serenity in December. And one of them now has the Serenity Logo shirts. So now I have two Hot Topic stores that are selling Serenity shirts.

So be sure to check your Hot Topic stores every once in awhile.

Yep, only ones left on-line are Browncoat shirts. But they might come back...The River Shirt came back just recently and sold out and then the Logo and Browncoat shirts came back and the Logo ones sold out.

My gasp! later caused the cashier to ask me what's so special about it... so I filled him in. His manager knew of FF and she told me they are going to start getting more sci-fi stuff in the future. =)

Got my Serenity shirt over a week ago at Hot Topic. The girls there didn't know anything about it, but one vaguely remembered seeing it. We all found it after a little bit of searching.

No Browncoats shirt though and that was the one I REALLY wanted! I was sorely disappointed and almost didn't buy the Serenity one. I broke down and did though and wore it for the first time yesterday.

The darn things picks up doghair like nobody's business but it was nice and soft and fairly flexibile. I've gotten some heavier shirts that are just too stiff from concerts and stuff, and when you've got curves they aren't fun to wear. But this was nice and got better as the day went on.

Now the REAL test will be washing it. I'll try without the dryer at first just in case. My sis got a ton of Pirates of the Carribean shirts there and almost every one shrunk. Her g/f works at Hot Topic and I told her to keep an eye out for the Browncoat shirt for me.

Must keep checking.

Perhaps I'll call.

Update: Just called Exton Square Mall in Exton, PA. They secured me a Browncoat shirt and it will be in next week. YAY!!!

Guess there was no need for pesterin'!

I just got my Browncoat shirt yesterday! Its so Shiny! however, the "browncoat" on the from seems a bit skewed and a bit off center but nothing major enough to return it me thinks.

Thank goodness for this thread!

I went yesterday to my local Hot Topic in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area and they had the Logo and Browncoat t-shirts in L and XL. They checked and said they could ship the 'My Turn' t-shirt to me from another store (turns out only Abilene had it in the entire state of Texas). They'll get it in about a week.

These shirts are so Shiny, very well made. They're made by 'M & O Knits', are 100% cotton, and say they are pre-shrunk (but mine's not touching a dryer regardless).

Just count yourself lucky you don't live in Manitoba. LOL. Well...it's not all that bad here besides the cold winters and the fact that Winnipeg is pretty boring (compared to other major cities) for young adults.

There's also hardly any Browncoats here! I only know 5 people who are fans of Firefly along with me. And I go to University.

Do you have any Hot Topic stores in your area?

If you do and they do not have the shirts, they might be able to transfer from another region store. Here are the numbers you need.

Serenity My Turn 250169-004 XL

-001 = small -002 = medium etc.

No I don't have Hot Topics ANYWHERE in my province. The downside of living in Canada is that many of the top stores from the States have not come here yet, or have just arrived. I live in city of 680,000 and we don't even have Target or IKEA, and we just got Best Buy two years ago
