Charter On Demand features Serenity

During Olympic coverage last night, my cable provider, Charter Communications, ran an ad for its On Demand movies service.

The entire ad was a trailer for Serenity!

It was an excellent trailer, too -- the "five rebels on the run... two fugitives" (etc.) one. It seemed rather long, too -- had to be at least a 30-second version.

Hey, if I knew nothing about the BDM I'd want to see it based on that ad.

Yay Charter! It may not be the classiest cable company, but I give them high marks for that ad.

Does anybody know how cable movie purchases figure into the movie's bottom line?
