Hi Y'all.

I've been lurking around here FOREVER...well, since I first saw Firefly late last summer on Sci-Fi,said to myself "I can't believe I missed this amazing show the first time around!", ran out and bought the series and watched it over and over and over again.

Anyway. I have a buddy at work who is really into both old Westerns and Sci-fi, but had never seen Firefly. On a whim I brought in disc one and loaned it to him (making him SWEAR he would treat it well and return it promptly!) So, yesterday, I asked him if he had gotten a chance to watch it.

"Yeah."

"Did you like it?"

"Hell, yeah!"

"Do you want to borrow the second disc."

"Nope."

Turns out he and his wife loved it so much, he went out and bought the box set for his wife for Valentine's day. AND had to try four or five stores before he found a copy (they were all sold out!)

So...I'm one happy Browncoat today. Just thought I'd share.

That's a great story, PaigeAvery! My first recruit was my dad. I talked the show up so much that he bought the box set before seeing a single episode, and now he's doing some recruiting of his own. Go us!

Excellent job! Well, I was recruited by my dad to start with. I feel bad, because initially I didn't like the show (that may have been because I didn't see the first epsiodes and I didn't understand what was going on). But then once I got the dvd I fell in love!

So far I have recruited three of my friends, of whom have all recruited their family members.
