Sorry I don't have a link, but a friend of mine told me that he was either watching MSNBC or looking online and said that they did a piece about 10 TV shows that died too soon, and Firefly was one of them. Glad to see that the show is still being talked about and remembered for the great thing it was - and will be again once I win the Powerball lotto and can pay to make another season or movie myself.

UPDATE - Ah ha! I found something when I logged into my MSN email account, the did the story in response to the cancellation of Arrested Development: http://tv.msn.com/tv/TVObits?GT1=7756. Firefly's on page 2.

Ya know what strikes me about your post? The bit about winning the PowerBall lotto and financing another season or movie. I have the same recurring fantasy, and I'm sure others here do as well! Maybe among so many flans, someone here WILL win. :)

Oh, and if you win, PLEASE go for a full season. A movie's just not enough. I mean, it's great and all that, but I'd much rather have 22 1-hour episodes than 1 2-hour one. But I'm greedy like that. I loves me some Firefly...

You'll see "The Tick" picture first.
After you go to the next page you have to click on "NEXT: Space cowboys, media pros..." link..

and Firefly is Holdin' at number six...

Pretty old though... considering it says Family Guy is slated to come back in 2005.. but BDHs nonetheless.

They may have updated the story.
