20 years after the events of the movies Serenity...

The Alliance, after fully studying and analyzing what went wrong upon Miranda when they added the PAX to the terraforming cycle, are prepared to begin the project again, this time on an undisclosed location. This new operation, codenamed Project Thunder, is a top secret only known to the high up members of Parliament and key other individuals in the Union of Allied Systems.

Meanwhile, the growing Independent Rebellion, more commonly known as the “Brown Coats” have begun to gather on the icy world of St. Albans. Their numbers are growing by the day with those fed up with the rule of the Alliance, who seem to be pushing their rule on even some remote border worlds. The new rebellion is an unforeseen threat to the Alliance, one lurking in the shadows waiting for the time to strike.

The Blue Sun has again begun their human experienced, having sought out more psychics to use in their program. It is rumored that a few “super” humans have already been created from this faceless corporation that seems to be marketing every type of product everywhere.

The Renegade Crime family, a group of hardened criminals that have a powerful grip over the underworld of the galaxy. They make their work as a sort of union for smugglers, bounty hunters, and the like. Their operations have been stretching out far, and have fallen under the radar of the Alliance. However, the family is so powerful in some sections of the galaxy that the Alliance won’t dare to oppose them on their own territory. There is a chance of an allegiance between the Renegades and the Independents, but the foul feelings of certain bounty hunters and smugglers may make any alliance shaky at best.

And finally, the Reavers. While not in any sense a faction nor an organized group, they are continuing to convert and grow due to their wicked ways of destroying human minds and creating more of their terrible breed. At the edge of Reaver space lies Miranda, a once utopian world where the Reaver was created by the Alliance. Now it is a place of death and fire since the Reavers decided to make a base for themselves.

The ‘verse is a place teeming with opportunity for war and certain peace, but tensions are high and the future is becoming more and more unpredictable.
