20 bucks!? I donno if that's a good thing. The fact that its cheaper well does that mean that they couldn't sell it so it had to come down in price or are they just trying to compete with other places 'cause it's sellin so well?

I figure this is a double edged sword. They're selling the series so cheap to ride on the Serenity DVD, but in the same vain, after both sell out, they might not order more...

Well I originally found the link on www.hardforum.com which is a computer forum. I thought it was cool to find it on there. Heres the original link. If you read through it, you can see that it has gone from being in stock to out of stock several times. That I take as a very good thing. Come on guys, the power of positive thinking.

Just for the heck of it I thought I'd check a couple of other DVD sets I've been eyeing for a while (I do of course already own Firefly), to see if they'd been marked down too. Wonderfalls is now only $20 as well! I might actually get it finally. lol

The price has gone back up at walmart.com Now Firefly is $34.88. Still a great steal for so much fine entertainment

I wonder why the price was low for a while (same is true of Wonderfalls).

I paid just under $30 before Christmas when Amazon had it on sale. I figure around $30 is about right, since it only has 4 discs. I love Firefly, but charging $50 (like I saw mentioned in another thread) is highway robbery. But charging only $20 makes it look really pathetic, like they have to give it away. Of course, it also makes me what to get another set.

Jayne: I once hit a guy in the neck from 500 yards with a bent scope. Don't that count upstairs?

Hey Guys,

Here's a good one. I got my Firefly boxed set at Best Buy for $34 and Serenity wide screen for $19.

Best part is I got Star Trek TOS entire second season boxed set as a gift for Christmas and exchanged it for the verse, plus a couple of other videos.

Actually the very best part is my girl-friend who HATES Sci-Fi in almost every way is a new recruit and loves Firefly. She didn't really care for the BDM but loves the show.

So, I've been lending out disc one of the boxed set to about anyone I think might "get it". When they come back for disc two caused their hooked, I send them to Best Buy!!!

Firefly is at Target!! As in, at the store!! I've never seen it there befoer, and believe me, I'm looking! I even bullied a college kid who was on a DVD spree into buying it... It was almost too easy, I'm somewhat pleased to say.

It was under $40 but I think Wal-Mart is still a few bucks cheaper. But since it's in the store, there's no shipping. Oh, and there was some guerrilla marketing that I saw as well...Someone had taken a few of the sets and placed them throughout the DVD section. Wasn't me, but I wish I'd thought of it first!
