Serenity store gift cards! You could make a www.fireflyfans.net version!

Anybody find any? I have been hoping Blockbuster would come out with some. They have other movie gift cards. I wanted to give them out as hints to rent or buy Serenity and have not seen any.

I needed gifts for people at work. I was told $16.95 was too much to give people. I was told the amount was around $5.00. If only Blockbuster had Serenity Gift cards. If only some store had Serenity gift cards...

So fine. I made my own.

Walmart has a photo machine that scans an photo/paper/object and makes a gift card from from the image. Do not know if any other stores have this ability to make personalized gift cards.

First one I made took up only about 3/4 of the gift card. I did not realize I could zoom and move the image around. The image that shows on the screen is what prints on the card. If you see gray/white area around your image...that will show up on card. I did better on the rest of them. Cost .88 cents a card.

So then I loaded them up with $5.00. And I now have Serenity gift cards to give away.

I am going to shuffle them up in a bag and the person who picks the gift card I messed up on wins a Serenity DVD Widescreen. The rest get just $5.00 that they can spend at Walmart...hopefully on a DVD with the word Serenity on it.

I was at Sam Goody and Suncoast Friday...Serenity shopping, and they just started gettting this: Blank Gift cards with labels of movies to stick on the gift cards.

THEY DID NOT HAVE SERENITY LABELS...I would have bought one. If this label Gift Card thing catches on, maybe they will have Serenity labels to make Gift cards from. They said it was a penny for the label.

The Walmart Gift cards are printed on the card...not a label stuck on the card.
