Best viewability for Alpha chat is to keep the link in your favorites and go there, rather than try to do it from FFF.net.

a few tips

Stay in the same window if you want your alias to appear. Closing down the window effectively causes chat to "forget" your alias and requires you to login to FFF.net to bring it back.

The emoticons do indeed work, but aren't listed with the chat. Now would be a good time to write those down (smile, biggrin, wink, finger, blush, fork, evil, disappointed, crap, blast, bash, banghead, stupid, smokin, naughty, knife, kiss, pissed, hanged, censored, vomit and everyone's favorite, tongue).

A ":" colon still needs to go before and after the emoticon to make them work.

The Alpha chat auto-refreshes, but has no notifying features to let you know anyone's answered, so requires constant chat tending.

Tt has time stamps to let you know the last time anyone was in there.
