Guerrilla marketing idea gone flat

Hi all.
This may have already been discussed, but I had an epiphany the other day. Oscar season is starting up in the new year and I was imagining how great it would be to have Serenity nominated for something, when I remembered The People's Choice Awards. What better to get the attention of the DVD buying public than Joss or Nathan or Summer accepting a People's Choice Award?

I went to their site, however, and you can only vote for a select few movies and actors already on thier lists. None of which are my BDH. For example, the movies we can vote for Best Movie are:

Batman Begins
Hitch
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

HITCH? Are you &#*&#^ kidding me? I am so disappointed and pissed off that either I missed the opportunity to get Serenity nominated, or the People's Choice Awards doesn't let me choose the movie I actually want to nominate. I don't know how these things work, but it seems ridiculous either way.

That intrigued me so I'm gonna go do a little diggin and see if we could rally to add a BDH...maybe with this fanbase they would consider it.... ill go look in the least I'll send an email...lol

Haha, 'Hitch'? Are you bloody pulling my leg? That's just sad. Really, really sad. Sometimes I just get this insane clarity to why the human race is such a major downhill race.
