Saw Narnia, ready for Serenity DVD

Narnia was very good....it was, well, exactly what you'd expect. Best review I'd seen said the director was Jackson's protoge, and, well, C.S. Lewis was an admirer of Tolkien, and the movie kind of followed the mold.

You can definitely see the religious parrellels, but there is an underlying story of self-sacrifice and love above all that kind of resonates beyond it. It's a good movie. The woman who plays the white witch is very good. She at first is sympathetic and likeable, then turns into this child-beating liar that still entices you into watching her. Very good performance.

But, I'm still waiting on my Serenity DVD. Tuesday will be my happiest day other than Sept. 30. Good movie that I can't wait to share with even more people. I have four friends DYING to see Serenity that didn't see it in theaters..giving the DVD to them for Christmas. I'm buying, at the moment, six Serenity DVDs as Christmas presents. I*'ll probably find a few more to give as well. I hope others can find that many people to give it to for Christmas....if 10,000 of us give six copies away for Christmas, well, you know the rest...jj
