Ok, I've heard it sooooo many different ways... Serinity (the Movie) is basically a synapsis of the Firefly series with no new content added right?

Is there a place I could get a list of the differences between the movie and the series storyline/plot etc?

1. Serenity takes place six months after the last episode of Firefly.

That ought to clear things up.

The ship's look is slightly different. Firefly's is more angled and Serenity's is more rounded off.

And I think it was 8 months after Firefly.

Mal has different suspenders.

Mal said that the Tams hae been on Serenity for 8 months, so I take that to include the events covered in the series.

Well, the movie answers some of the questions from the series.

It doesn't answer them all.

It also poses some new ones.

Since the set was trashed, and apprently not even the blueprints survived, the new sets were built based off the designers watching existing episodes... So it came out a bit different. (NOTE: hearsay - I don't know this for 100% sure but it makes sense to me.)
