Buyers Beware If Preordering Serenity through Amazon

I am not trying to kill Serenity sales so don't get mad. But I was looking at the thread entitled Stop Buying Firefly and Start Buying Serenity.

Amazon does not process free shipping items right away. It's not priority so they wait a few days.

Be careful when using free shipping. If you are ordering Serenity for a X-mas gift you may want to chose regular shipping or just buy it from the stores since it comes out so cloes to x-mas.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

The Serenity dvd by itself does not qualify for free shipping anyway, you have to order at least $25. I placed two separate orders, one for my son and one for me. I added the BDM soundtrack to his order and the series soundtrack to mine, however I made his order free shipping and paid extra for two-day shipping for me. He will be visiting me at Xmas so we'll get mine while he is here and he'll have his when he gets back home.

So, I have a question... I preordered Serenity the moment it was available at around $20. Now it's on special for $16. Am I going to get a discount on my DVDs (6 in all) or am I going to get charged the origional price?

If you ordered through amazon, you can go back and check "My Account." It should have an invoice of what you paid, how you paid, etc. Because it's a pre-order, they shouldn't have charged your credit card until it ships. They should have changed the price already, but if they didn't, you can just cancel your order and re-order the dvds at the new price. amazon should have all your info already.

You can preorder from bestbuy.com and/or circuit city.com and have it delivered to the store. They will put it somewhere with your name on it.

We do not know how many each store is going to stock and we do not know how many Browncoats are going to snatch them up. I preordered to a Best Buy store and I have an order in to Amazon too.

Preordering to a store may help encourage them to be sure to stock enough Serenity on their shelves.
