EMBERS

I gave this some thought...
but #1 people usually get their nicknames from others, so it is hard to guess what others would give you...
and #2 most of the people on board Serenity don't use nicknames, they are using their real names

(or maybe aliases...because I don't think Book was born with that name...)

If you stick with tradition then I'd probably nicknamed 'Sparks' or 'Sparky'. Both because it sounds like 'Mark' and because it's usual for an electrical guy.
