I thought of another promotion idea that I haven't heard anywhere else before:

http://www.photostamps.com/gold

This company allows you to print legal US Postage stamps with any picture you want. Perhaps we could make "Firefly" stamps?

The only downside I see is that even in large quantities they are significantly more expensive than the postage value.

I heard about this company and then promply forgot about it. I love the idea, except for the fact that I practically NEVER send anything in the mail anymore. Still, it is a worthy concept. I'd buy a sheet from someone if a image could be settled on.

" They don't like it when you shoot at 'em. I worked that out myself. "

The problem I see with it is the high premium they are charging for the stamps. We'd have to place a big order to get the cost per sheet down to a fairly reasonable level. But even at buying 100 sheets (that's 2000 stamps) it's still almost double the price of the postage.

I use plenty of stamps (no shortage of bills to pay every month). Think of how many people would see the stamp. Not only would the postal workers start to see them and notice them (if we used enough) but also whoever processes your mail at it's destination will see it.

There is another minor problem, the post office won't allow something they consider as "advertising" so it might be tough to get away with what I'd like to do (probably the word "firefly" as it appears on the cover of the DVD set).

If enough people wanted to pitch in and buy a few sheets of stamps each, I'd be willing to consider getting them made and distributing them.

My thought is to maintain the long term exposure of Firefly. I want Joss, Fox, Universal to know that the browncoats aren't done with Firefly. We might be upset at how Serenity was made but we want more.
