Sorry if this is already somewhere on the site, but there's no search functionality.

What ever happened to the Unreal tournament level of Serenity that was up on the net when the show was still on? I didn't have UT at the time, but I'd love to play it now, but can't find it anywhere. I thought it used to be on the official site, did they release it?

And I'll admit it, I do just want to run around inside Serenity.

I got the impression it was directly linked to Fox's offical site, I have not heard anything about it since Fox ditched the show. I looked but I did't find anything, not even an, "Oh I gave up on it," message.

I couldn't find anything on the web either. I would have thought that with such a die-hard cult following, something like this would have been hard to kill. I wish we could get our hands on what they did finish, I'm sure we could have finished of the rest.

I just really wish someone would get on with making a Firefly/Serenity level and mod for UT2004. The one they were working on was for 2003. Maybe if there are any UT2004 fans of our BDH that are experienced in level editing and character editing they could all get together and try to make something spectacular. I myself am not experienced in these feilds but will look into it.

Bump.

I'm with SpcmnSpiff on this - I just feel the need to wander around "our" ship.

Does anyone know what the status is of the ship portions of the movie sets? If someone at Universal would allow at least one fan in with a digital camera, he/she could quickly produce the source material for the trickier texture maps.

If Fox would open source all assets in the original project (or at least the ship mesh), the rest would be fairly straight forward. Perhaps, with the huge spike in the series DVD sales, somebody at Fox is fealing generous? A free mod would only help DVD sales.
