G'day from New Melbourne in Australia!

If y'all are ever in town hope yer enjoy our fish and fish based activities....

Bonza website! (That's good, trust me on this.) Especially like all the artwork related links as I'm a costumer and general artist and they've proved very inspirational.

Anyway, I thought you might be interested in my interview with Joss Whedon. It was broadcast on the 3.10.2005 (Zero-G Episode #529) and can be heard using a downloadable Realaudio player at the URL at the bottom of the post

Had to delay playing it until the movie opened, as there were some spoilers in it that I couldn't air, and also I figured that the mainstream T.V and other radio jocks Downunder were doing a solid job of at least giving Joss a fair bit of airtime all up...even if their questions often were..um....not all that Browncoats might have wished for.

For some arcane audio reason my questions have come out a little bit fuzzy sounding on the archive version...this was not the case with the edit that went to air. Weird. I'll have a chat with our techs.

Sure wish I'd had about 20 more minutes, but who am I to look a gift Joss in the mouth? The Joss Op. came at the end of a fairly solid and exhausting three months of increasingly complex projects so I'm reasonably cool with what I managed to pull off. Tell my ma I done my best!

Triple R is a public radio station, Australia's largest, that isn't government funded and runs on subscriptions. People pay money to listen to us...shoot, that is Science Fiction!

As Joss was kind enough to record on promo cart for us, "Triple R, It's Independent Radio & It Aims To Misbehave!"

The first URL is the interview, the second is a picture of Joss and me.

You'll need to paste them in your server, not sure what tags you use! Or you could just
go to the radio station site at rrr.org.au

If some moderator spots it I'd be obliged if you'd delete the duplicate, I can't figure how to do it from here!

Sorry and Ta.

Thanks for the link. Really great interview. You know, I'm sitting here feeling like crying because listening to the intelligence and passion Joss Whedon expresses every time he talks about Firefly/Serenity makes me feel sad for all the gorram people who can't, won't or don't get how extraordinary the Firefly 'verse is.

G'day JingTsai,

You're welcome and thank you kindly. I interviewed Steve Squyres, Chief Investigator of the Mars Rover Project two weeks before Joss, so it was a bit of a red letter month for me for encountering passionate, committed creative talents.

Tell you, Joss was awesome, he'd just flown back from an interview in Sydney, in New South Wales, and hardly had time to settle back into his hotel. Punishing schedule! You can hear the fatigue in his voice (a lot more 'ums' and 'ahhs'
in his speech than I'd think would be usual) but his enthusiasm for his creation really shone through regardless....

Folks who don't like Firefly? Gee, y'know, I don't move in those circles!

Cheerio
