hi again,
I posted a couple days ago that i need to write an essay for school comparing and contrasting something. I have decided to compare and contrast mal and jayne or zoe and wash. I cant decide who i should compare and contrast i am stuck between the two. Please help and it would help greatly if you put some simialarites b/t mal and jayne and zoe and wash.

also what is zoe and wash's full names? thanx! its due next wed so help! LOL thanx.

I'm not of a mind to do your home work for you, but I will give you a way to "mine" the characters. There was this guy in the 1950s named Clyde Kluckhohn--no really. He made a convincing case that you could figure out what values people had by looking at five relationships. I will give you four:

the relationship of the person to other people
the relationship of the person to nature
the relationship of the person to time
the relationship of the person to the "big questions" (e.g. what does it all mean? Is there a god? etc.)

If you can consider each guy in terms of those four things, you will be able to find similarities and differences.

Oh . . . and write the introduction last!

Zoe Alleyne Washburne (nee Warren)

Hoban 'Wash' Washburne

Purely as a suggestion, and assuming you have been able to see the film, you could compare Serenity and Firefly.
