DFW: Any shindigs/Group viewings on SATURDAY?

So here's how it is:

The gf is driving over from her nice college apartment this weekend to the DFW area to watch the Serenity premiere, but, given that she's driving about 6 hours, and can't leave before 4 PM, makes it impossible for us to attend any shindigs or group viewings on Friday.

We have discussed this, and decided that it would be better to watch the movie somewhere in the DFW area seeing as how the theaters probably will have a better "atmosphere," if that makes any sense.

Another thing that we talked about is that I will *NOT* watch the BDM without her the first time. Nope. No chance.

So that leaves Friday out.

My question is this: Is there a group of Browncoats that are planning to either hold a shindig or get together at a certain theater on SATURDAY? It doesn't matter if you will have already seen the BDM previously -- we (the gf and I) both attended the June 23rd screening.

So...

Yes, actually, we have a group of about 40+ people, locals AND out-of-towners, that will be celebrating Serenity's return to us the fanatics on Saturday afternoon. Actually, we are starting with lunch together (mostly locals) on Thursday, Putt-Putt and dinner at a Greek restaurant on Friday night, lunch at a Mexican restaurant, movie viewing and the Dallas Shindig potluck dinner to include mass discussion of the movie, I'm sure, on Saturday then brunch in Dallas and Gameworks at Grapevine Mills Mall on Sunday.

This is a group of people that use any excuse to get together IRL but other than our national convention each summer, Dallas meets tend to be the largest attended because we have that Southern hospitality!

BTW, we have custom tshirts and custom badges so if you see a bunch of geeks wearing Blue Sun/Serenity Shindig - Dallas tshirts, that would be us.

I can't wait!
