Hi, i was wondering about the cast of Firefly/Serenity. I have a friend who's just gotten into the series and so i'm trying to give her all the little facts that the rest of us take for granted.

I was just trying to tell her that the FF characters also made appearances in Buffy and Angel. I was hoping that you guys could help me get it all right

Mal - was in Buffy as Caleb
River - in Angel as a ballet dancer

hmmmm... ok. Massive mind blank.

Zoe - was she Jasmine in Angel??

Also, I believe that the actor that played Tracy (The Message) pulled a hat trick and was in all three shows. Help me out here guys - what was he in Angel (Knox?) and Buffy (vampire in Season 7?).

The alliance commander in the first episode was D'Hoffryn on Buffy and the 'I fall to pieces' villan on Angel S1. Played by Andy Umberger.

Lawrence Dobbson (the alliance mole in the first episode), played by Carlos Jacott was a social worker/villan for the S3 opener (Anne) on Buffy. He was also Doyles ex-wife's husband to be untill he wanted to eat Doyle's brains.

Tracy in 'The Message', played by Jonathan M Woodward, was also a semi-regular in S5 of Angel as Knox. He also had an episode on Buffy in 'Conversations with dead people'.

I dunno if this is what you were looking for but here ya go...

Holden Ford was the character's name.

Andy Umberger's Angel character was Dr. Ronald Metzler.

Jeff Ricketts, who played one of the blue handed guys, also appeared as Weatherby (one of the Council members) in both Angel and Buffy.

Well, six if you count Joss himself.

Point of interest: Christina Hendricks (Saffron) also appeared as a barmaid in 'The Prodigal' and in a Tru Calling episode with Eliza Dushku.

Angie Hart (the singer from Splendid who was in three seperate Buffy episodes 'I Only Have Eyes For You', 'The Freshman' and 'Conversations With Dead People') was the whore in Heart of Gold who sang 'Amazing Grace' at Nandi's funeral.
